1st National Nightlife Congress

Nightlife sector entrepreneurs from all over Spain will attend the 1st National Nightlife Congress

CNON: 16 & 17 May 2017

The Congress & Exhibition Centre in Seville (FIBES) will host the first edition of this congress which is born from the need to professionalize the nightlife sector, boosting its qualities and originality. Spain needed a meeting like this to improve the image of its nightlife sector, to give greater business maturity and qualitative leadership, with innovative proposals, current and oriented to the demands of the consumer.

This event will begin on Tuesday 16th May in the morning with the opening of the Congress by the Secretary of State for Tourism Matilde Asian. Then the speakers will be presented. The first of them will deal with the figure of "Night[life] Mayor". The Mayors from Amsterdam and Berlin will participate followed by the presentation on the importance of nightlife for a tourist destination, including well-known nightlife entrepreneurs like Abel Matutes Prats, President of the International Nightlife Association (INA), owner of "Ushuaïa" and now the new club "Hï" (previously SPACE Ibiza). In the afternoon, a subject of special relevance for our businessmen – VAT - will be discussed, and other very relevant subjects which also affect the economy because they closing venues due to excessive noise and the tax rate on alcoholic drinks.

On the 17th, the presentations will continue on other important themes that also directly affect our economy, such as the new fees for using music in which SGAE and AGEDI-AIE executives will participate, as well as other topics of great interest such as strategies to gain customers and new trends in decoration and design for nightlife venues. In the afternoon, we will celebrate an “after work” party in which the attendees will be able to network with the representatives of the brands presented at the fair and the day will end with the event "One Night in Seville" and be the element of nightlife fun at the first Event for Nightlife Professionals in Spain.
